Allen Trading Company was established by Bill Allen in 1972. The company offices and warehouse are situated in Gisborne and as of April 2008, the business has been owned and operated by Michael and Megan Allen.

The primary business of Allen Trading Company is the import and distribution of children’s toys, gifts, dress-ups and novelty items. These products are sourced from a range of suppliers based in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and countries on the Asian continent.
